A budding poker player, George Danzer was actually born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He spent 8 years living in Lisbon, Portugal before finally moving to his current country of residence: Germany. He studies micro-engineering in a university in Freiberg and before becoming a full-time poker player, he was an excellent chess player. He also enjoys strategy-based games, like Starcraft. But the pull of poker was so strong for him that in no time, he has focused most of his time making more money from the profession he has chosen. He has been quite successful in table games, as what his Vegas results shows. His first appearance in live tournaments was in the 2006 Paris Open of Poker in the Shootout – No Limit Hold’em event. He finished third in that event taking home a prize money of $5,996. And only a day after that successful game, he appeared in another event, this time in the No Limit Hold’em where he took the second spot and taking home a total earnings of $11,114.

Danzer also competed in the World Heads Up Championship under the Spotlight Heads Up – No Limit Hold’em event. He took home a money prize of $32,765 after finishing in the third spot. In his firs World Series of Poker (WSOP) appearance, he made it to the 305th position under the WSOP No Limit Hold’em Championship WSOP Final, competing with 8,773 players in one of the biggest tournament in the world. He managed to take home a cash prize of $38,759. In his second WSOP appearance, he made it to the final table of the WSOP Omaha Hi/Lo event finishing in at 9th place and bagging a total earnings of $13,597. In 2009, he participated in two European Poker Tour events – EPT Grand Final No Limit Hold’em and the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $9,700 No Limit Hold’em Main – where he took home over $80,000 earnings. Just recently, he was signed in to be a member of Team PokerStars Pro, incidentally one of George’s goals in life.

Perhaps, it also adds that she is also married to another professional poker player, Jan Von Halle. In fact, it was her husband who was responsible for Katja’s dabbling in poker. While on a high-stakes limit poker game, she accidentally has to sit for her husband. Never having played in a tournament before, she quickly got the hang of the game and managed to make the right moves before her husband came back. That incident has launched Katja’s newfound love for the game turning her to a professional player in no time. Venturing out into various tournaments, she appeared in two World Series of Poker (WSOP) events – Wsop 7 card Stud and Wsop Pot Limit Hold’em – where she was able to take home a total of 5,947 US dollars cash wins.

In 2007 European Poker Tour Polish Open in Warsaw, she appeared in a final table in the No Limit Hold’em event securing herself the fifth spot and taking home a total prize money of 84,538 US dollars. Her biggest and notable win came in the 2007 WSOP. Playing in the $1,500 Razz Seven Card event, she scored her first bracelet and a sum of $132,653 prize money. In 2008, Thater was chosen to represent Germany in the Poker Nation’s Cup, an event closely equivalent to Olympic or World Cup in poker. Team Germany took home the second place after British Dave Ulliot defeated German Michael Keiner in the final heads up. She also appears in Women’s Poker Open although at first she said that she does not like playing in an all-female events only. But aftern PokerStars has put her in the event, she took the challenge and was looking forward on it. When Thater is not busy playing in tournaments, she breeds horses for competition and has recently signed in to be a member of PokerStars team.

The collectible card game Magic: The Gathering and poker are two games that shares one distinguishing characteristics: they both have an organized tournament system. Aside from that, both games also require skills such as logic and strategy to best one another in the game. Many poker players started as Magic players, often traveling around to compete in various tournaments. For Pier Paolo Fabretti, he gives credit to his Magic playing days for finding his way into online poker rooms. As a young man, he was introduced to the game by an American player he met while in an international tourney with Magic. He was taught the basic rules of Texas Hold’em and seeing that the game is not that far from the game he is currently playing, he began playing heads-up for $5 in online sites. In no time, Pier has proved to be a success in the game especially in online games where he is cashing more money than in live games.

But a poker player will always be attracted to bigger and live tournaments. In February 2008, Pier has appeared in his first tournament, the 7 Tappa Campionato Italiano finishing in at second and taking home a total money prize of 27,137 US dollars. A few months after, he joined the Campionato Pro 2008 finishing in at second again with a prize money of 6,346 US dollars. The arrival of Italian Poker Tour in his country made a lot of Italian poker players, including Fabretti himself, hopeful for the game become more accepted. He sees it as an opening for more tournaments to come, a chance to showcase their extraordinary card skills and taking home that pot prize. When Fabretti was invited to become a member of PokerStars, he was only thrilled about the news, believing that this will open more doors and chances for him to excel in his chosen career. When not playing online and joing tournaments, he likes to travel and meet new people and learning more about different cultures.

A lot of professional and newly-emerged poker players out there has started their career by playing Magic: The gathering, a collectible card game that is being played by over six million players around the world using a deck of printed cards. But there is really nothing wrong with that. Because of player’s background in the game, they are now at least know what it feels to be in tournaments, competing against other players. Indeed a perfect practice for budding poker players. Being a Magic player, Simone Ruggeri was introduced by one of his Magic mates in poker to become one of the the best Italian pro players out there. He began playing online games of Sit-n-Go’s before moving up to higher levels. Although his starting bankroll was always shifting from here to there, he practiced and focused more on his game until he has become a better poker player and building for himself a decent bankroll.

Though Simone has only cashed in in one game, the 2007 Italian Championships No Limit Hold’em event where he took the 38th spot taking home a total cash wins of $1,966, he is looking forward to appearing in more live and big tournaments especially in Italian Poker Tour and the European Poker Tour events. A man of a who likes reading a wide array of book genres, Simone also likes traveling around and hanging out with his friends. For him, being a member of the PokerStars Italian team has been a dream come true, something that he has looked forward for a long time since he has been a loyal PokerStars online player. Truly, not all people are granted their wish of being a part of a team that they have long to join, so Simone is looking forward to major events that he will join in the future. Make sure to watch for this budding Italian poker player in future tournaments.

With a banking profession before he even began playing poker, Nicola Fedeli is one of those players who are gifted with mathematical expertise. Despite a successful and stable career, the call of Texas Hold’em for him was stronger. And so the rewards he is reaping from it. His interest in poker began after watching the game live on television. He saw how the actions were in a tournament, feeling the excitement and thrill that players behind every game tables feel. He was intrigued by this that he immediately learned more about the game. Not long after, he was hooked. Especially after finding out that he can be actually goon in it by using his good mathematics skills in his games, he reckoned he can succeed in poker. He studied everything he can about the game, where and how to play it. In no time, Nicola is already playing in various circuits around.

His first circuit appearance came at the 2007 Venice Poker Open. He was able to make it to the final table finishing in at seventh spot taking home a total cash prize of $3,095. This only inspired Nicola to join in more tournaments. On his second tournament at Portorose, Slovenia, he found himself once again in the final table, this time at the third spot and earning himself a total of $4,468. When the start Italian Poker Tour was announced, he took this as a chance to improve his game and so set to make an appearance in the tournament’s many events. He was able to secure himself the 10th spot in a game where more than 200 players tried their skills and luck to best one another taking home a total cash wins of $7,794. Currently, Nicola Fideli is a member of PokerStars Italy team, where he feels very honored to be part of. Expect to see more from this judo expert in coming poker tournaments whether in his home soil or outside of it.

Huckleberry Seed was born in the year 1969 at Santa Clara, California. He grew up a perfect picture of your all-American teenager. He went to high school, became the star player of the school’s basketball team, and went on to college taking up electrical engineering. When he was 20, he took a leave of absence from his classes- and he never came back. Huck had started playing poker.

After training for years, getting cleaned out time and time again, and working odd jobs just to finance his poker “education”, Huck finally hit the jackpot. He took home a one million US dollars for winning the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in 1996. He attempted to make another win three years later, in 1999, but he lost to another poker playing pro named Noel Furlong. He did however finish in sixth place, which was still quite rewarding. The most recent tournament he joined was the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event. He finished at 73rd place, battling out a sea of thousands of players in the process.

Some more accomplishments include winning four World Series of Poker Bracelets, his first one coming to him when he was only in his mid twenties. It was for a Pot Limit Omaha event. His second bracelet came in 1996 where he also went home a million dollars richer. His third bracelet was won from a Razz Poker event, and his fourth bracelet came in the year 2003. Considering most poker players can barely secure one bracelet, it’s safe to say that Huck, with four WSOP Bracelets, is a truly skilled player. Most recently, Huck won 100,000 Canadian dollars for a No Limit Hold ‘em tournament at Calgary and also finished 7th in a HORSE event at the 2008 WSOP. He bagged 280,000 US dollars. Throughout the duration of his career, Huck has amassed 5 million US dollars in winnings.

Born in Darmstadt, Alexander Schwab is one of the new faces of the poker world. He has just started playing poker in the year 2007. It’s safe to assume that he doesn’t have a whole lot of experience, and he’s probably struggling with tournaments that require him to rub elbows with the poker playing pro’s, right? Wrong. Although he’s a newbie in the scene, Alexander has already left his mark by making quite an impression on the citizens of the poker world. His natural talent for poker can’t be denied by the veterans of this sport. He got interested in the game after stumbling upon a couple of sports channels that air poker tournaments live. Seeing the ridiculously large amounts of money and the seemingly easy ways with which these pots were won, he decided that he wanted in on the action. Alex read books about the game and practiced with his friends during home poker games which they took turns hosting.

After some time, he decided to sign up for poker sites and play the game online. It was not long before his skills were honed and he found himself invited to play at the Million Euro Challenge during the year 2008. The event was held in Mainz, Germany and it was far from easy. Alex had to beat out almost three thousand hopeful players just to make it to the final table, which was featured on national television. This was Alex’s first tournament – and he emerged from the Million Euro Challenge 2008 as the champion.

Since then, Alex has made his presence felt in different poker communities all around the world. His total earnings from playing poker have amounted to hundreds of thousands of dollars in cold hard cash. He may be a new face, but Alex is certainly off to a great start!

Erica Schoenberg has always been an intelligent student at school. She possessed the natural ability to be good with numbers and even emerged victorious from a mathematics competition. Strangely enough, she started her professional career using her looks – her beautiful face and slender body allowed her to become a professional model and a personal trainer for a gym right after graduating from college. Whatever she made was not enough, so she also played blackjack on the side. She had been playing cards ever since she was a little girl, but what she was really passionate about was the game of blackjack. She loved the ease of the mechanics and the quick progression of each game – not to mention the financial rewards it brought! She was already good, but she wanted to be better so she trained with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or MIT’s Blackjack Team to improve her game. Eventually, she was such a gen in blackjack that she signed up to become a professional blackjack player. She was a great player too, always making it to the World Series of Blackjack on television. Her training did not go to waste.

Although she was passionate about blackjack and really good at it, she started catching the poker bug after she got together with some friends for a home poker game. She loved the strategies that she needed to learn, and she also loved the though of bringing more “girl power” into the game. Erica impressed a lot of people during her first ever tournament when she finished in sixteenth place and won more than 100,000 US dollars from the World Poker Classic for her efforts. Since then, she has continued to win small local tournaments and give impressive finishes in international events. Clearly, you can be blonde, beautiful and still smart.

“I’ve gotten phone calls from all over the world. That’s pretty cool.”

That’s from a man who have no idea how famous he has become. Alan Boston may claim that he is still fairly unknown professional poker player, critics and media men will say otherwise. He might not be famous like other pro player, but many recognize him not only in the poker field but also as a sports bettor held as one of the best college basketball handicappers in the country. In fact, he is so good that he got his own radio show called “Beat Boston” announcing his picks every week and competing with other sports bettor and seeing who has the best bets. He has also been featured in two magazines, the ESPN magazine and Outside the Lines, for his extraordinary knowledge in sports. As a sports bettor, his life was also documented in a couple of books namely The Odds and Lessons from Our Fathers.

In the field of poker, Alan Boston is known as a great seven stud player. With over 10 years of experience in WSOP events, his best play remains to be the 1994 World Series of Poker when he finished in at second overall taking home a total earnings of $66,000. He has appeared in a total of 11 WSOP final table events with impressive outcomes. In 2002 WSOP Limit Hold’em & Seven-Card Stud and Limit Seven-card Stud, he was able to finished as fifth and third place respectively, taking home a total of $42,440 earnings.

Even if Boston has won only one tournament in his poker career, it is not bad at all for someone who considers playing poker as a side game and but still manage to get a total earnings of over $200,000 throughout his career. When not teaching, Boston can be found dividing his time between his two homes in Las Vegas and Maine.

At an early and pretty dangerous age, Brad Booth started his career in playing poker by sneaking out of his parent’s house donning his Little Caesar’s uniform everyday to fund his nights in poker rooms. Leaving his school books in exchange for cards, he soon find himself scraping off every dough in his hand just to participate in limit games and reached the point where he has to hitchhike in roads just to get home. Nicknamed “Yukon Brad” after the place where he come from – the Yukon Territory in the great white north- he eventually went to break the news to his parents that he was dropping out of school but not until he got his ‘87 Sprint car as a birthday present.

He left his home with plans of moving to Abbotsford, British Columbia to play junior hockey and try to make a living in playing poker. Suffice to say, his planned did not push through after a run in with police officers who insisted that he get alternative schooling. The young Booth was enjoying so much freedom driving his car, getting inside casinos even with so little money in hand. But the death of his mother sent him back home mulling over his life. He eventually broke out and made a name for himself in the north playing in different poker events. His newfound success in cash games made him set his goal into joining tournaments in Vegas. His first major tournament was the 2005 World Series of Poker $5,000 Short-handed No Limit Hold’em event where he managed to came in 12th place earning a total of $17,000.

It was followed by a succession of victories in WPT Events such as the Festa al Lago IV and Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic events. But his biggest winning came in Mandalay Bay Poker Championships, a World Poker Tour No Limit Hold’em Main Event, when he came third overall taking home a total of $319,180 earnings. That victory was followed by other impressive wins so much so that the man from the Yukon Territory got the admiration of other pro players such as Phil Hellmuth constantly referring to his as “the best unknown player in the world”.

Full Tilt online player Farzad Bonyadi is recognized as one of the best cash game players out there. He has, after all, 3 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets under his belt. Poker knowledge for this Iranian-American player came in his own home. Born in Tehran, Iran, Bonyadi often get to watch poker games in his home hosted by his grandfather with gamers usually consisting of relatives and neighbors. Growing up in an era when Iran was undergoing such violent times, he decided to pursue college outside his home choosing Vienna, Austria to study agriculture.

It is safe to say that Farzad’s interest in poker wasn’t too strong in his early years and it wasn’t after he moved to United States in 1983 that poker caught his interest. Working as a proposition player in a casino, he was able to learn more about the game. Working in a casino helped Farzad a lot in improving his game, it was also a good opportunity for him to get his hands in all forms of poker that soon he was already playing at the highest limits available. His big break came when he was offered a hosting job at the high limit games in The Commerce Casino. He found himself playing against some of the worlds best poker players and making a name for himself particularly in L.A.

His first experience of sitting and competing at a table happened in 1997. It was his first trip to the WSOP participating in two events – No Limit Hold’em Championship and Limit 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo. But it was in 1998 when Farzad took home his first WSOP bracelet after winning the $2000 Limit Hold’em event. His second bracelet was from 2004 WSOP Main Event after winning the $2000 Deuce to Seven Triple Draw. The third bracelet came from 2005 WSOP No Limit Hold’em event when he finished first place once again taking home a total earning of $594,960. Nowadays, Farzad Bonyadi has taken a rest in playing in casinos but you can still find him playing online at Full Tilt.

For pro player Andy Black, fame and success did not come easy. He was a perfect example of a person whose fate keep being teased while starting his career in poker. Nicknamed “The Monk”, Andy Black was born in Belfast, Ireland. Growing up in northern Ireland, he was introduced early to the game by his mother in order to block negative events outside their home. He was such an excellent student that he went on studying law in Trinity College upon reaching college. It was during that time when Black considered taking the game a bit more seriously.

The 1997 World Series of Poker Main Event was Black’s first major tournament and it would proved to be one unpleasant experience for the rookie player. He was faced with legendary pro Stu Ungar in one match and the two immediately hit it off, building a fast though brief friendship. It turns out that Ungar only used Black’s friendship, particularly trust, into driving his own goal of winning. It was a crushing defeat that he learned early on. Determined to win, Andy Black returned once again to compete in the WSOP Main Event, this time a documentary team behind him to chronicle his victory this time. Unfortunately, Black suffered another crushing defeat, this time in front of a larger television audience.

This experience led Black to leave everything behind him and live as a Buddhist. For five years, he lived as a semi-monastic Buddhist practicing everything from being calm and desireless to achieve nirvana. His return in 2004 proved to be a huge success. He was in good condition – emotionally, mentally and physically. He scored well in European Poker Tour in Pot Limit Hold’em finishing 8th in the event. He was also making waves in his home country, topping many events. But his best event so far was the 36th Annual World Series of Poker No Limit Hold’em event when he came in fifth overall and took home a whopping $1,750,000! Definitely a major victory from a man who got a bad beating in his first few years in the field.

Sascha Biorac was a regular working guy before his name started coming out in various poker events. The game caught his attention while he was working as an insurance salesman. He was often with his friends playing home poker games and as his skill and knowledge in the game naturally increased, his interest also increased so much so that he decided to bring his game in a more competent level. He started playing in local casino games and once again proved to be a success, a decision that is worth all the fuss for the German player.

In the field, Biorac is seen as a pretty well-rounded player mastering all sorts of games, not only focusing in one but a few event such as Pot Limit Omaha, Seven Card Stud and Hold’em. He has a total of 4 final table appearances from the time he started playing poker in 2005. A few months after, it was followed by another successful win in Master Classics of Poker in Holland Casino. Biorac had a total earning of $31,058 in the Euro 5,000 No Limit Hold’em.

In the 39th World Series of Poker Event held in Las Vegas, Biorac finished as 35th overall in the $2,000 Limit Hold’em taking home a total of $5,242 cash wins.

The beautiful Elena Ichim is the only female member of the team Pokerstars.it. Elena’s claim to fame was her victory during prestigious Stars Night where her totaling winnings grossed an impressive amount. She began playing poker for about a year, and was offered a sponsorship by PokerStars.it in no time.

Elena is always elegant at the poker table. This lady, who now lives in the fantasy world of poker sports, believes that women should have equal rights as men in the poker table. Of course, these are not the legal rights but the ability to command respect during gameplay. She emphasizes that the double standards imposed on women is unfair and must be eradicated. “Just because we are women, they expect us to prove ourselves. Why do we need to prove ourselves? The table is not easier for women, the cards are not easier for women. In fact, the men make it harder for women.” says the 25 year old beauty.

Undeniably, the main source of judging a player is not by his or her gender, but the results of the game – and this girl has given impressive results indeed. It’s funny to imagine that Elena once found herself so bored by poker, back when she was just a “decoration” and everyone in the casino knew her as the lucky charm for her boyfriend (Gianluca Trebbi, ranking first hundred in Italian). After a while, this lucky charm started to bring in the luck for herself, playing the tables and truly living a lifestyle that revolved around poker.

It was not long before she was offered a contract to play professional poker by PokerStars Italy. This became her job. She is currently spending her time touring the world to play tournament after tournament, currently waiting for the Italian Championship of Online Poker (ICOOP) to take place as she is a strong competitor waiting for the huge € 400,000 guaranteed main event.

It is common knowledge that being good with numbers means that you’re good in chess and other games that involve logic and computation. Poker is one of those games, and world famous professional poker player Luca Pagano is just one of those people who is able to apply his math skills from a computer programming degree as well as his experience trading in the stock market in order to excel in poker. While browsing through the internet, he stumbled upon PokerStars.com and this marked a significant point in his career where he made the decision to play professional poker full time.

Luca started playing online poker and learned the ropes almost immediately. After gaining enough confidence to play in land casinos, he started to play at the free tables with no real money involved. It was during these “trial games” that Luca realized his amazing potential to excel at poker. He knew he was the player to beat, and so did the other players.

When Lucas finally started to play with actual cold hard cash, it’s safe to say that his life changed forever. The winnings started small – PokerStars online tournaments, low stakes cash tables, and even some of the smaller live tournaments. When he finally amassed enough wealth to build up his bank roll, Luca decided to join tournements with higher stakes.

His first major victory came in the form of 24,500 US dollars for the European Poker Tour Main Event last September of the year 2004. Four years later, we find him taking home more than half a million US dollars for winning the European Poker Tour’s No Limit Hold’em Main Event. He currently holds the EPT’s world record for the player with the most number of cash wins, and Luba continues to play the tables and develop his poker skills until he can finally win the WSOP Bracelet someday.

Dario Minieri is the world of poker’s very own wonder child. Only in his early 20’s, this poker genius already has his name engraved in the imaginary poker hall of fame among enthusiasts and players alike. His roots are quite funny – Dario wasn’t always a poker fan. He preferred a different card game, one that was more “whimsical”.

This Italian born PokerStars Pro team player used to be a champion of a card game called Magic: The Gathering. It was a tricky mind game that involved a different set of cards and a lot of twists that deviated from your ordinary card tricks. He was so good at this game that eventually he was sponsored by the Magic organizations to compete around the world! In fact, he had to give up his college plans to take up Psychology in a university. It wasn’t long before his friends took notice of what a talented card player he was, thus introducing him to the game of poker. It didn’t take long before Dario knew that this was what he wanted to do for a living.
He studied the game religiously, and was quick at picking up different tips and tricks to succeed as a professional poker player. It wasn’t long before Dario found himself competing in tournaments in online poker rooms and land casinos alike. The more money he started to make, the more motivated Dario was to stay in the game.

Using only his loyalty points from PokerStars, Dario was able to purchase his very own Porsche Cayman at the age of 22! He started playing in 2005, placing fourth during his very first tournament participation. One day later, he placed fourth again in a different tournament. After that lucky streak, it was a glory-filled ride to the top for this poker player, who has already won the much coveted gold WSOP Bracelet.

Angel Guillen surprised the world as the second man of Mexican descent to win himself the coveted WSOP Bracelet. This was both a professional and a personal victory for this poker player, because he feels strongly about poker’s illegal standing in Mexico. It is one of his main goals to show the Mexican government that playing poker can be a good source of income not only for the players themselves but for the country as a whole. Gambling, after all, is a profitable endeavor. He is a big part of a group of citizens appealing to the government to legalize poker, to legalize it and make a big boom in the country. Unfortunately, talented players are reduced to playing underground or secretly training in the back rooms of bars and clubs. This makes it difficult to achieve each player’s full potential, Guillen says.

Playing poker and training for the game in secret seems to have done wonders for him though, not affecting his game in any negative way whatsoever. Guillen has made several decent finishes in prestigious poker events and tournaments, each finish with a corresponding cash value. He’s also made himself visible in the final table two times, his total poker earnings reaching more than 800,000 US dollars. The Mexican native continues to train hard in his current residence at Las Vegas, Nevada.

When not making a poker face with several other talented players in large scale Vegas casinos, Guillen loves to play chess, solve math problems and other number puzzles, read classic novels and educational books, and he also has a passion for travelling to different areas of the world, getting to know the different cultures and traditions of each new place he visits. However, his main focus as of now is to further hone his skills in poker so that he can play the perfect game.

He’s popularly known by his nickname “JC”. Only in his early 20’s, JC has already has a lot of poker victories to brag about under his belt. Even though most poker players started playing since childhood, JC only learned the game a year after graduating high school. He learned to play poker from his friends, and he played with them often so that he can develop the skills to win. After a while, he dabbled in online poker rooms and started to take the game more seriously.

JC first popped into the poker scene back in 2006 when he joined a No Limit Hold’em event of the World Series of Poker Tournament in Harrah’s New Orleans. Considering it was his first time, it is safe to say that his finish wasn’t too shabby. His second attempt at another WSOP event in Vegas brought him to the final table, besting over four hundred poker players for the No Limit Hold’em. Not only did he make it to the final table, he also finished sixth and won himself a fat sum of 28,665 US dollars. His ruthless and aggressive playing style brought him to the World Poker Tour’s Event # 19, where he once again played his game of choice – No Limit Hold’em – and came out 29,370 US dollars richer.

When not hitting the world’s biggest casinos for a poker game or two, JC enjoys watching and playing football, taking golf lessons and training for Mixed Martial Arts. His lifelong dream has always been to make it big in football, but his total poker earnings of 728,320 US dollars is not something he’s complaining about – in fact, it seems like a fair amount to give up his dream and enrich the poker industry with his superb talent.

Thinking of a game you want to play on a laid back Friday or perhaps on a lazy weekend when you don’t feel like going out at all but just want to enjoy the company of your friends and family at home? Fret not because the world is teeming with activities and games that you can enjoy in the comfort of your own homes, specifically poker game activities! The game is popular all around the globe and it is no secret either how many people get crazy about it. So what is it about this game that makes it so addicting so much to the point of bringing the fun times in anyone’s home?

Perhaps it is in the thrill of guessing if you have the best cards in hand better than the rest of your opponents, the excitement in knowing that you won even with a minimal betting and the general gaiety in the company of good crowd. If you are looking for a fairly simple game to engage as a poker home party, then Hurricane is best for you. The game starts with each players placing small antes, a sort of forced bet, to make up the pot. In this game, only two cards will be dealt all throughout the game. After the dealer has dealt the first face-down card, a round of betting will follow next. Betting will begin to the player sitting to the dealer’s left and will go on clockwise.

Players may either calling, raising or folding in the game. After the first betting round is over, a second card will be dealt to each player, this time facing up. A final round of betting will follow before the players reveal their cards. The best and also highest card to possibly come out usually comes in the form of pairs. If there are no pairs available, high cards will be the next best cards. This is a pretty quick game which can be played by up to eight players.

Everywhere you go, everywhere you turn your head, there is a trace of poker mania in everything. From the thousands of poker advertisements in the forms of billboards, online ads and TV ads, to television networks showing poker tournaments everyday. One could wonder what the extent of poker’s popularity is. Not only hard core poker players are into the game, even celebrities dabble in poker events from time to time with non-playing people left to watch them. Looking closely, poker is actually a worldwide phenomenon enjoyed by people of all races.

For starters, there are easy poker games that beginners can engaged such as the five-card draw games. Community cards, such as Texas Hold’em, is perhaps the most popular game around but to some people it varies what game they enjoy. Stud poker is another poker type enjoyed and played by majority of the people and the good thing about these games are the interesting variants they created meant to be enjoyed by anyone at all times. Of course we are all aware that not everyone can go hang out in a casino hence the popularity of home poker games. Variants gives the needed twists and turns in a game that makes it more enjoyable and exciting to play. One good example of a stud poker variant is a game called Breed the Heifer.

In this game, the dealer gives two face-down cards to each player and a third card which is face-up. A round of betting follows after cards are dealt where players can either call, raise or fold. After the round of betting is through, each players will be given a face-up card again. If a player has been given a card that matches to other player’s face-up card, the next card that will be given is considered a wild card. For example, the existing card of player A is a Five and a Jack then the dealer gives him a Five again, player B say received a Two, all Twos will be considered as wild cards now. Another betting round ensues which will be followed by giving of the sixth card. Then another betting before the seventh and final card are dealt. A final round of betting will occur before players may reveal their best poker hands keeping in mind the wild card/s.

At first, anyone might confused a High Low Jim for a split-pot game, just like any other High Low poker games. In the case of High Low Jim poker game though, a player needs to choose whether to play high or low before revealing their cards near the end of the game. High Low Jim is quite an interesting game laden with twists for anyone to enjoy. It is the only stud game wherein players can see all their cards. Usually, a maximum of seven players can play the game.

To begin the game, each player must place their antes to be added to the pot. An ante is a sort of forced bet each player must place, often in small amounts only. Once the antes has been placed by all players in the table. the dealer can proceed in giving seven cards each to all players. The players may examine their cards and must decide if they will play for the high or the low hand. In this game, no one can play for both hand. There is no need to announce what hand a player will play, they must proceed in choosing five cards out of the seven in their hand to make the best possible hand. Players are still left with two cards at this moment, one of which will be discarded, so that makes a total of six cards in a player’s hand now.

From the five cards that players has formed, they must now choose only four and put them on the table facing down. The two remaining cards must be placed on both sides of the four cards. If the player decides that he is going to play a high hand, the card that was taken away to form his five-card hand must be placed to the right of the four cards in the table. If he is playing a low hand, that card must be placed on the left side. After this is done, all players will turn their top cards at the same time to reveal what card it was and this will be followed by a round of betting. The three remaining cards will be turned over too all at the same time with betting in between until the final round. Again, flipping over the left card means that the player wishes to play the low hand, while flipping over the right card means the player is vying for the high hand. No player may scoop the pot, meaning get both the half-pot, unless every other player in the game has already folded. Players with the highest and lowest five-card hand will win the half-pot.

A game sharing the title of a pretty hip movie, one would wonder what difference the Good, the Bad and the Ugly poker game can offer. You might be surprised with how good this game can turn out. Just when you think you got the perfect cards in your hand to complete quite a strong hand, someone takes it away from you. Intrigued now? That is exactly the charm of the game, adding zeal to the already fun game. But first things first, let us lay down the basic mechanics of the game.

Each players of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly will receive a total of seven cards throughout the game, just like a regular seven-card poker game. But players will be dealt with two face-down cards first followed by a round of betting starting again with the player seating to the dealer’s left. Players can either call, raise of fold in this round. After this is done, players will be dealt additional two cards again, this time all facing up and in addition to that, the dealer will place three face-down community cards in the middle of the table. A second betting round will follow after this starting to the player with the highest ranking face-up card.

After the second round of betting, the dealer will turn the first of the three cards in the middle. This card is called the Good. Players having card of the same rank on their hands can make that their wild card. For instance, the Good hand turns out to be an Eight, all Eights will be considered as a wild card. Another face-up card will be dealt to each players followed by the usual round of betting. The dealer will now then turn the middle card called the Bad after the betting. This time, any player with the same card rank as that middle card will have to discard that card without getting any card replacement at all. This is quite bad really since any ranking card could be subject to discarding and this rule actually goes for all the cards in a player hand whether face-up or face-down.

After the Bad card has been turned up, a new face-up card will be dealt to each player again followed by a series of betting before the final card will be turned, known as the Ugly card. It gets really ugly because players holding the same rank card must immediately fold irregardless of their hand’s value. After a player with an ugly card has folded, a final face-down card will be dealt followed by the final betting too. All remaining players must reveal their hands after this to determine who the winner is. The dealer will declare who has the best poker hand and will also award the pot to the winner. So, are you ready to get your game Ugly?

Seven card stud is one of the most popular poker game, whether inside casinos, online sites or even at homes. And due to the excessive popularity of poker games everywhere, players became more inventive and creative by devising a home game variant of stud poker in the form of Have a Heart. Basically, the game follows the general form of stud poker, only with a twist to add more fun and excitement in the game.

So how does a game of Have a Heart starts? Just like a seven-card stud game, Have a Heart players are dealt with two face down cards at the beginning of each game, then four succeeding face up cards and for the final piece of card to be given by the dealer, a face down card again. A series of betting will begin after the second face down card has been dealt starting from the player seating to the dealer’s left. He can either check, call, raise or fold early in the game based from the card he is holding. Betting and card-dealings are done in between until a total of seven cards has already been laid down.

The twist in Have a Heart comes when any player gets to be dealt a face up Heart card in their hand. Getting a heart means that the player has the option of taking any face up card from any of their opponents. The player possessing a Heart card does not necessarily need to discard their Heart card and this goes the same for the player whose card has been taken. But they could also opt to not take a card from their opponent if they believe that their hand is actually good enough. When the final round comes, taking cards will not be permitted anymore since the last card to be dealt are facing down now. After the last betting round has been done, players may now reveal their hands to find out which has the best hand to win the pot.

Poker is a wonderful game to play. It is enjoyable and very exciting, on so many levels. Not only can one stand to win big amounts of money, but players can also win something that money cannot buy – the pride of being crowned a poker champ! Perhaps the reason why poker has so many variations is because this game needs to be more challenging and more diverse, or else people will become bored with it and master its mechanics easily. One of the complicated variations is Free Enterprise Poker. It has mechanics that are very similar to another Stud Poker variation called Buy Your Card Substitution Poker, however this version is much more tame and less aggressive. Both games are actually variations of Seven Card Stud – a classic, popular stud game played with seven cards: two cards distributed facing down, four cards distributed facing up and one last card distributed facing down. In the games of Free Enterprise and Buy Your Card Substitution Poker, the first distribution of cards is made up of two cards facing down as well. However, in Free Enterprise Poker, the dealer then turns the three successive cards up, taken from the main deck.

Starting from the player to the left of the dealer, everyone decides if they want to ‘purchase’ a card from the three that the dealer turns up. If a player says no, the dealer proceeds to give him a card from the deck. This card does not require any payment. Another similarity to Seven Card Stud is that a round of wagers proceeds every face up card dealt to a player. The point of purchasing cards here is that players get the opportunity to “buy” themselves a good hand. When everyone has seven cards, they take the five best to make a poker hand and the best hand wins the entire pot.

Deck Poker is a very rare variation of the world famous game of Stud Poker. In fact, if you initiate a home poker game night with friends and invite them over to play Deck Poker the chances are that they most likely have never heard of it. Deck Poker is played with five to seven players, but the ideal recommended number is six players. This is how the game works:

Step 1: The dealer distributes one card to each player. This card is facing down.

Step 2. After the players have been given one card each, the dealer proceeds to flip the deck’s top card up to expose it to everyone.

Step 3: The player to the left of the dealer is now faced with the choice of taking the face up card OR taking the deck’s new top card, which is blind to everyone. Either way, the player gets the card facing up so the choice is not between an exposed card to players and a card that remains hidden from all players. Rather, it is a choice between a card that can be of use to the player or a blind card that may have a better shot with the first card.

Step 4: If the player chose the exposed card, then the dealer again takes the card on top of the deck and flip it up on the center of the table, giving the next player the same choice. If the player chooses a blind card, then the next player is also given the choice of taking the exposed card or the next blind card. It must be noted that the exposed card is never replaced by the dealer unless it has been taken by a player.

Step 5: This process of exposing cards and choosing between them continues until each player has one face down card and four face up cards.

Step 6: Players show cards and the best hand wins the entire pot.

In all my years of playing poker, I have seen my share of variations of the game. However, the variation that takes home the Most Interesting Poker Twist award definitely goes to Blind Poker! The game is so unique that it completely changes the way poker is played! Can you imagine not being able to see your cards while playing? Below are the mechanics of Blind Poker:

Step 1: The dealer distributes one card to each player. This card is facing down.

Step 2: Players then proceed to stick the said cards on their respective foreheads, showing the card to their opponents but concealing it from themselves! For those players who do not want to do this, they can simply hold up their cards to show to other players.

Step 3: The first round of betting occurs. Players bet on whether or not they have the highest card in the group. The first player to act or the player who initiates the betting round changes from round to round so that it is fair to everyone. The player who correctly bets the highest and possesses the highest card at the same time wins the betting round.

Step 4: Players need to listen carefully to their opponents’ bets, as well as the bids that they make so that they can get an idea of what cards they hold. If the other players all have high cards, then it’s obvious that the chances of having a high card get lower. In this case, it’s best to bet low. If the other players all have low cards – like 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, then it’s best to bet high.

Step 5: Players reveal their cards and the pot is given to the player who has the highest card and places the correct bet!

The game of Second Hand High Poker is a lot like Seven card Stud Poker. In fact, it’s safe to say that the former is simply a variation of the latter. The main difference between Second Hand High and Seven Card Stud is the final rule of who wins the pot. Below are the mechanics of Second Hand High Poker:

Step 1: The dealer distributes two cards to each player around the table. These cards are facing down. They can only be seen by the receiving players and no one else.

Step 2: The dealer distributes the players’ third cards – one card that is facing up. This card can be seen by everyone around the table.

Step 3: A betting round occurs after the dealer distributes the players’ third cards. The betting round is initiated by the player who receives the highest card that’s facing up.

Step 4: The dealer distributes one more card to each player facing up. A betting round follows the distribution of the players’ fourth cards.

Step 5: The dealer distributes one more card to each player facing up. A betting round follows the distribution of the players’ fifth cards.

Step 6: The dealer distributes one more card to each player facing up. A betting round follows the distribution of the players’ sixth cards.

Step 7: Players are given their last cards – the seventh card. This is dealt facing down, just like their first two cards. After the final cards have been distributed, players engage in their final betting round before the showdown. If you are observant you will see that the game is exactly like Seven Card Stud so far. The difference lies in the final step.

Step 8: After the last round of betting between players, everyone shows their cards and form the best five card combination to form a poker hand among their seven cards. However, the winner who takes home the pot is not the player with the best hand. Instead, the player who takes home the entire pot and wins the hand is the player with the second highest hands, hence the title of the game!

The greatest casino online bonus that a player can possibly achieve is the high roller bonus. The high roller bonus can be received by any player, provided that the player engages in high stakes games. If you are a big gambling enthusiast who is constant search for higher bonuses, then the high roller bonus is for you. The high roller is one of the most rewarding bonuses, and can be very addicting.

The reason why online casinos have high roller bonuses is that they want to make their market bigger by incorporating the big gamblers who are willing to play high stakes. It also allows them to have incentives. Obtaining a high roller bonus can be one of the most fun and memorable experiences in gaming.

High Rollers help a casino earn money since high stakes are involved. Also, it allows online casinos to attract more players aside from high rollers. Involving high roller bonuses helps improve the marketing of online casinos. Unlike welcome bonuses, no deposit bonuses, or reload bonuses, high roller gives a big bonus that is worth the thrill. Also, high rollers customers are well taken care off since they allow the company to obtain more revenues.

High rollers keep online casinos rolling because of the huge amounts of money they bet. High rollers are the most sought gamblers by every online casino because they create fun and excitement in the casino rooms, which in turn attracts more customers. High rollers are considered VIP’s in online casinos, and the casinos make sure that they are well-taken care of. High rollers typical bets are more than $1000. Imagine how much money that is and how much bonus they receive. High rollers are well-compensated by the online casino for their extravagant playing style. If you want to be a high roller, don’t think twice because high roller bonuses are enough assurance.

One of the best things about online casino is that it recognizes the loyalty of its customers. Loyalty bonus is one of the most attractive bonuses since it gives something extra to players who keep on playing at the online casinos. The players who enjoy the best loyalty bonuses are those who remain customers the longest! Of course, the players need to be active in playing in the online casino.

The loyalty bonus is reflected on the player’s online accounts. Also, players are able to receive an additional percent on their next deposit if they have been loyal. Examples of people who are eligible for loyalty bonuses are subscribers who have been with the casino for a long time. They are also regarded as VIP’s in the online casino. Aside from loyalty bonus, the VIP’s also receive additional money in order to bring customer satisfaction.

Even though online casinos spend literally lots of money just to attract players to join, they see providing online bonuses to customers an absolute advantage. In reality, loyalty bonuses attract more customers and more profit. If the players are satisfied and taken care of, the more money goes inside online casinos. Nothing can be worse than not giving anything extra to customers and allowing them to join their competitors. That is why providing loyalty bonus has become a necessity in most online casinos. Without loyalty bonuses, people would not feel motivated to play and invest more money. A player can also redeem his loyalty points by himself. If the casino allows, he can automatically receive his loyalty points depending on the casino. The important thing is to do is to check first if the online casino does have a loyalty bonus program. If it does, then you can also compare which casino has the best deal in terms of loyalty bonuses.

What if online casinos did not offer online bonuses to customers? Do you think the customers would stay loyal? I guess not. Imagine how much courage it takes to gamble with a risk of losing big. Because of this fact, it makes sense to provide online bonuses to customers. Online bonuses such as welcome bonus, reload bonus, no deposit bonus, loyalty bonus, and high roller bonus all help keep and motivate customers.

The beauty of online casino websites is that they are able to provide online bonuses to their customers. This is a good thing because it attracts more customers and draws more profit. Another advantage is that providing bonuses to customers gives them a message that the company is taking care of them and would help them in every way possible. One example of an online bonus that just does this is the preferred deposit bonus.

When you deposit money into your online casino account using the casino’s preferred method, you actually receive preferred deposit bonuses as well. In other words, if you deposit money into your online account through a third party, you also receive a preferred deposit bonus.

Online casinos provide many ways to earn bonuses. The preferred deposit bonus is just one of the amazing ways they can do so. The preferred deposit bonus usually is between 5% and 15%. However, the preferred deposit bonus may not be mixed with a welcome bonus. Preferred deposit bonuses are applied to each deposit made though the third party. EWallet is a highly recommended third party by most casinos. Other reliable third parties are also Neteller and Click2Pay, which allow you to receive bonuses of around 15%. If you are going to make deposits and want to make the most of the bonuses it offers, it is best to deposit bigger amounts such as $20,000. If I were you go ahead and start earning preferred deposit bonuses now.

Did you know that some casinos give free money aside from sign-up bonuses and deposit bonuses? These casinos give free money which is known as the No Deposit Bonus. The great thing about the No Deposit bonus is that it does not require a certain player to deposit an amount of money. However, in order for a player to receive a no deposit bonus, he has to create a personal account in the casino wherein the bonus will be deposited at. In some cases, some online casinos require verification before you can start receiving your no deposit bonus. The site may verify the information of a player through a confirmation email, or credit card information.

Before you can be eligible for receiving the no deposit bonus, you will need to sign up for an online account in the casino website. Doing so will qualify you for the no deposit bonus, which something free. An advantage of signing up for an online account is that it provides you with funds that you can use for playing since you do not have to place an initial deposit. Before opening an online account, it is recommended that you check first with the casino because each may have varying no deposit bonus amounts. Examples of great online casino sites that provide no deposit bonuses are Pantasia Casino, Atlantic Lounge, Zodiac Casino, Riverbelle Casino, and Intertops Casino. To give you an idea of how much casinos offer as no deposit bonuses, think of it as ranging from $10 to $100. It is wise to check out each online casino to determine what suits your preferences. Some even offer non-cash bonuses as no deposit bonuses, such as free minutes, free spins, and free games. You can find these bonuses when playing slot machines and video poker. If you are going to play, simply sign up for an account and start earning money.

The online casino offers many bonuses to all players. Among the most popular bonuses found online is the Reload Bonus. The Reload Bonus is exclusive for all players in the casino. The Reload Bonus consists of a fixed percentage payout that players receive. The welcome bonus also consists of a fixed percentage payout. Of course this also is dependent on the amount of deposit that the player has put in.

The casino provides reload bonuses consisting of 15% to 20% of the player’s total deposit. The reload bonus is one of the ways that allow a casino to encourage many existing players and attract new players into playing. The reload bonus also encourages players to deposit more money into their current accounts. It is not easy to cash reload bonuses, but it is very helpful for players who have not played for quite some time and have stagnant accounts.

The real advantage of having a reload bonus is that you are actually earning money while depositing funds into your personal account in the casino. That is why many players are attracted to this type of bonus, which results in many deposits. Imagine when you add funds to your account, you can actually receive around 10% to 30% reload bonus. Yet, it does not mean that you will earn a reload bonus if you place funds into your account. In order to receive the reload bonus, you are required to place a deposit on specific days of the month. If the new players are able to receive welcome bonuses, the existing players have the privilege of receiving reload bonuses, which is really a good thing. It is the casino’s way of thanking the customer for being loyal. If you are an existing customer and simply play and bet, why not invest in your personal account and receive additional money? Anyways, you can use the money to play extra games as well.

There are different types of online bonuses in casino. One of the most interesting bonuses is the Welcome Bonus, which is exclusive to all new players. The amount of the Welcome Bonus also varies according to the casinos. It is common that casinos provide an amount of 100% to 200% for the initial deposit. In other casinos, a new player could be luck since the amount can reach around 500%. Casinos raise welcome bonuses in order to gather many players. Therefore, it really depends on the casino’s promotion strategy. The important thing is that there is a minimum and maximum deposit amount for welcome bonuses. In order to be eligible for the welcome bonus, the player should deposit the minimum amount.

It is perfectly normal to have a welcome bonus in every casino. As a matter of fact, it is already given that any casino you enter will provide a welcome bonus for new players. Many new players are delighted upon hearing of the welcome bonus. The welcome bonus is sort of a sign-up bonus given to those who are open and willing to explore casino games. If you are eligible for the welcome bonus, they will be given to you in increments as you place deposits at the casino.

Welcome bonuses are classified into a couple of deposit bonuses. The First Deposit Bonus is normally the largest deposit bonus. We also have the Second Deposit Bonus, the Third Deposit Bonus, and even the Fourth Deposit Bonus.

Imagine what online casinos would be without any online bonuses. It would probably be uninspiring to play. In case you have any new friends who are new to the casino and want to experience this, advice them about online bonuses such as the Welcome Bonus. This is one of the reasons why casino games are so addicting.

You’ve seen the action in the television. You’ve felt the thrilling sensation of witnessing a live hockey game and you are still left with the overall excitement, as if you have been playing it yourself, as if you’ve the puck into the goal just like your hockey idol. There is so much drama and suspense involve in this game, surely many can attest to that. But perhaps, it is the drama and suspense that makes hockey one of the most interesting sports we have today. Betting against your team’s opponent is quite a common sight. Why not bring it to a different level. Yes, there is such a thing as hockey betting, just like there is horse racing betting, cycling betting and cricket betting.

A hockey fan has every advantages in betting because they know their teams pretty well. Who plays really really well, who are good enough, what team has good defense or offense. Every hockey team has vied and dream to get in Stanley Cup, the most prestigious cup in hockey world. Hockey betting also involves sportsbook offering different methods of betting such as money line, puck line and some additions like “Grand Salami”.

There are odds involve for winning teams and there are also odds available for underdog teams. The favorites almost always have higher odds because, well, they are favorites and really famous. Whatever the case, whether you do the betting physical or online, it is important that you must know the ins and outs of the betting system. Most terms might throw you off at a first glance but that’s nothing to fret as everything can be studied and they’re not as complicated as they look or sound. Once you’ve done this, you will enjoy hockey betting even more and who knows, might get really good at it even with just a look among each team’s odds.

Greyhound racing has been going on since the 1920s, believed to have its official roots in Manchester, but there is no hiding the fact that it is practiced in many parts of the world, at least those who allow it. Greyhounds were chosen to race, out of all the dog breeds in the world, because of their extraordinary swiftness. This game is quite simple, just like horse racing, but obviously, instead of thoroughbreds galloping in the oval, it’s dogs making their way on to the finish line.

Greyhounds betting can be done in physical appearance to racing tracks or online. Whatever suits you best, they both follow the main idea of betting. You must get ahold of a sportsbook. A sportsbook, in a nutshell, contains all the lists of the dogs participating, their statistics (number of races won and the distance of the race they won), time they finished the race, weights and other essential things anyone must know. From there, you can think of your strategy on what dogs to choose based from the odds and the dog’s statistics.

Once you have decided on your pick, you may now proceed to placing your bet. There are many types of bets that anyone can make such as the overall winner, betting on who will come first, second and third or you can just bet on what dogs will take the first and second place in the race. The ticket in your hand will tell you what dog you have wagered on, how much you have placed among others. In case your choice win, you can collect the money in windows available in the area. Some of the most significant greyhound racings are Greyhound Derby and Racing Post Festival anticipated by owners and spectators alike. Just imagine what the stakes will be in that level!

It would be a shame for anyone to just bet or raise their bets only in Tour de France season because there are too many other cycling events out there waiting to be discovered, seen and joined. For instance, there’s Tour de Romandie, Deutschland Tour, Vuelta a Espana, Amstel Gold Race, Tour de Suisse and a lot more to look out for every year. But perhaps, what attracts many bettors in Tour de France alone is the length of time involve in this event. Cyclists compete for 23 days in a 21-stage event that makes it more interesting than any other cycling events. Too many possibilities to occur as the days progress. One minute your bet is finishing consecutive firsts, another minute they are down being hauled off the road, along with their bikes.

No matter what a team’s strategy was in joining the event, they are somehow bound to change on the day of the event itself. But the good thing about the 21-stage race is the fact that each stages are different from one another with an outcome of different winners. The same thing applies in betting. A player is not left with that big burden of choosing just the winning team or final finisher. Anyone can bet different cyclists in any stages but if you want to stick on your choice, you are also very welcome to do just that.

There are sites that offers an extensive list of odds and what to be expected, novelty items and betting options. But if you are a cycling fan in the first place, this would be just a breeze for you. You know what to look for in your team aside from the usual before and after stage reports. Many sites offer good deals, especially for new players, and show the odds not only from their sites but from other betting sites too so it’ll be easier to see what you’re dealing at.

There are people who choose to bet on cards, some on horses, others on other form of sports betting like football, cycling and cricket. Now here comes another to get your interest on: Jai Alai. Saif to be one of the fastest game ever, as it involves players who continuously smacks a ball, called pelota, on three-walled auditorium called fronton. This game originated from Spain’s Basque region where Jai Alai means “holy day” as it is often played during holidays in order to attract more tourists and visitors in their place.

The pelota is alternately being bounced by two opponents and if a player missed, it’s a score. A player can score a point if the ball has been over-served, underserved, if the ball got thrown out of the boundaries or simply if the opponent wasn’t able to return the ball.

There are three ways to bet on jai alai: you can either be an spectator and bet on the winning team/individuals, call from the telephone to bet or just bet on online sites if you do not live anywhere near a jai alai fronton. Online betting is probably the easist and hassle-free way of doing it. For some minimum amount you can place your bet but hold on, there are actually many types of betting in jai alai. Some of them are:

1) The player/team you chose must win in order to get the win payouts.

2) There is something called place payout where you have to choose a player/team who will place as the first or the second.

But there are other sites that offers different types of betting other than the two mentioned above, so you can include betting types and how it works in your list of what-to-look-for in finding online betting sites for jai alai.

With the onset of sports betting, it is practically the new and in thing right now without ever having to lift a finger nor leaving the comfort of your couch while glued on the television.

Potential bettors must be aware of the odds in sports betting as there are only few teams or nation to begin with. And with thousands and thousands of people betting with a game that there can only be three results, win, lose or draw, it can be quite competitive. Cricket tournaments like Cricket World Cup are good venues for cricket betting. Most online sites provide blow-by-blow account, country and players profile, statistics and the odds of you placing your bets on them.

But that’s not the only thing you can bet in cricket, Not just win, lose or draw. In cricket, if you want to make your betting more exciting, you can bet on the score rates or the number of times wickets can be taken. You can also bet whether the batsmen can hit a particular goal and if they do, how much? Same thing can be done with the bowler. Everything has an equivalent price if you know your game pretty well. There are so many sites out there offering anyone the best deals, it is up to the bettor to choose their pick, one that satisfactorily supplies their choices and possibly one that provides a good return of money. So go ahead, why not start looking for that best site right now and see if you can rake money in by just being an avid supporter of England.

Even though Las Vegas, Nevada is the most famous place where any type of gambling is considered legal, it does not stop any other sports to have their own betting games, though on limited venues only. So many sports to place your trust (and money) in the hopes that luck will be smiling on you, maybe not everyday, but at least maybe for a day anyway! Football is no exception.

Aside from the ultimate excitement of watching a football match, fans and enthusiasts alike can now add betting on their favorite team as part of their love for football. You can choose to start local first. For instance, United Kingdom is quite famous for its many different football teams that there’s no way anyone can ran out of team to go for. Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Arsenal FC, Aston Villa FC or Chelsea FC. Take your pick.

But if we’re talking World Cup here, it’s not just about hometown glory anymore, though that is still possible. There are 16 teams, probably more, to choose from worldwide. One must only figure out each team’s value and the odds of betting in them because surely, surprises are everywhere. The good thing about betting in football is that it is very accessible as there are thousands of online sports betting waiting for you to register and place your bet on. There are even sites who’ll offer you money twice as what you bet because that’s just the way they want it. Not bad if you’re a newbie in the field and pretty good if you really know the ins and outs of football. If the team you’re rooting for wins then it’s enough of a celebration but what if rooting for your team gives you a chance for an extra cash, wouldn’t that be even better?

Horse racing has been around thousands of years, beginning with the Roman’s great idea of racing horses with chariots attached to them, to the modern horse racing we have of today. There is just something about placing your bets on a certain horse and the idea of thrill and excitement running through your whole body as you wait, and wait and see if your horse made it first on the finish line. Only then you can breathe a sigh of relief as your body starts to relax again, with the idea sinking in on you. If your bet did not win, well, there is always a next time and that next time probably starts 5 minutes after the first race!

Such is the excitement horse race betting will give any follower. Horse racing does not come easy as a pie though as there are different kinds of racing available out there that players must choose carefully what kind of race they want to engage. There’s Harness Horse racing where horses pulls the jockey riding in a two-wheeled cart going around on an oval. This game is popular in Australia, North America and Europe.

Then, there’s the Thoroughbred racing which uses thoroughbred horses of course. This type of race is known and practiced worldwide, making it the most popular horse racing game. When we say thoroughbreds, this involves horse of high quality, one that horse-owners take care of like their own child. This type can be divided into two types: the flat races and the jumping races. In flat races, horses do not go around an oval jumping over obstacles while in jumping races, horses needs to jump over obstacles.

Other types of horse racing are Quarter-Horse racing where horse are required to run in a straight but short distance while stakes races involves a certain fixed amount of money whether from the horse owners themselves or from the bettors. Horse racing is such an old game but maybe time is telling us that this game was probably so good and enjoyed by many that it is still being practiced up to now.

Many people often commit the mistake of thinking that backgammon is just a game of chance. On the contrary, backgammon is actually a game that requires skill for a player to master or even just familiarize themselves in order to go on winning in the long run. With its rule, one easily gets the wrong idea that in order to win this game, one only needs to read their opponent and imagine what their next move will be and looking at all the possible moves.

The goal of backgammon is simply to bring your army of checkers (either black or white, depending on what color you chose to be your army) into your home, and once it has reached your home, you can begin taking them off the board. The backgammon board has already what players need inside the board, such as the checkers and the dice needed in rolling and generating the number of moves. To determine who goes first, players will roll the dice and the one who rolls the highest number can go first.

The backgammon board has 24 four triangles on it called the points. These points alternates in color and each player’s moves will be determined by rolling of the dice. The outcome of dice-rolling will determine how many moves a checker can make forward. Since there are two dice used in the game, each die’s result can represent different moves. No two checkers can occupy the same point, a player has to temporarily remove their piece off the board.

The game does not end when all your checkers has reached home, the game ends when you have removed all your pieces in the board. This part is called bearing off, the last stage in a backgammon game. Backgammon means triple victory and it is only achieved when your opponent hasn’t taken any of his pieces off the board and still has remaining pieces on your home.

Boxing seems more of a great spectator sport than actually getting in the ring and exchanging punches with another person. Nevertheless, boxing is one of the most watched sports because of the excitement and boldness it brings. I was also fascinated when I learned that Boxing actually originated back in Greece. It was regarded then as Pygmachia by the ancient Greeks.

Pygmachia can be traced way back in 688 BC. The sport that we know today as boxing is still the same as it was, except for some modifications in modern equipment, sporting place, and rules. Before Pygmachia, boxing was actually brutal in case you did not know. Imagine two people punching each other as if there were no tomorrow. Some boxers even nursed spiked gloves that can literally kill a person.

Pygmachia is the lighter version of the nonprotected boxing mentioned above. At first, the boxers used leather straps to protect their hands. Soon, the leather straps improved, adding padding inside to cushion the knuckles and hands. Later on, these leather straps gave birth to oxys, which consisted of thick leather bands that gave the hands increased support.

Pygmachia also had distinct rules as compared to modern day boxing. The ancient form of boxing did not have any time restrictions. A boxer wins the match if his opponent either admits defeat or falls into the floor. Another interesting difference in Pygmachia was that the boxers can actually give each other time to rest if they both agree on it. Nevertheless, Pygmachia also has similarities with moder boxing such as the prohibition of punching certain areas in the body such as the genitals, and the use of protective gloves.

Despite the significant improvements in boxing, it is still best enjoyed as a spectator sport for most people, including me. Without Pygmachia, modern boxing could have been a lethal sport today. Thanks to Pygmachia, Boxing is here to stay.

One of the ancient sports in the world is the Hoplitodromos. There are certain sporting competitions that people await every four years. One of them is the Olympics, which is anticipated by millions of people around the world. The Olympics is a wonderful event that features various sporting events such as swimming, football, basketball, gymnastics, track and field, and many more. The Hoplitodromos is an ancient game that used to be played in the Olympics. Whatever happened to that sport?

Even if the Hoplitodromos were to be included in modern Olympics, it would have been modified greatly to an extent that the essence is lost. This is because the Hoplitodromos involved carrying extremely heavy weights that can be bad for the body and bones. Imagine carrying a bronze shield made of wood, and helmet and greaves that weigh at least 50 pounds. Just imagine how much weight that is and how much energy it eats out of your body. The Hoplitodromos was more of like a military training activity that helped the Greek soldiers get fit for their battles against Persian invaders. If this sport still existed today, it could have been the sport that demanded the most training.

If you have not participated in any races that required to carry such weight while running, then you must have imagined how difficult the Hoplitodromos is, at least for the Greek soldiers. Nevertheless, this could have been a brilliant and distinct sport if it were still part of the Olympic games.

Running is one of the most watched games in the Olympics. However, a few only know the origins of this sport. If not for the Hoplitodromos, the running sport that we know of today could have been different. Everytime you watch a running event, think of the Greeks who brilliantly performed the spectacular sport of Hoplitodromos.

Doesn’t it feel good to run long distances and finally catching your breath and taking a well-deserved rest? The feeling you experience actually has a history. The history of running dates way way back in the 6th century. The activity that is supposed to be an exercise was first thought as a sporting event during the birth of the Olympics.

Running is one of the most exciting and thrilling sports in the world. It is very popular in every corner of the world. A few can imagine how this wonderful sport was back in the days of the ancient Greeks. The events that existed in the ancient Olympics partially consisted of foot races. Unlike modern running sports, the foot races back then were actually distinct. Some races required the participants to carry wooden shields that were covered with bronze, as well as helmets and gleaves. These races also served as military training for the Greeks against Persian invaders. You might even be surprised, but some races involved running without any clothing at all!

The Stadion is actually a 200-yard sprint that is popular in the ancient Olympics. Instead of runners wearing comfortable running shoes, tanks, and shorts, the participants were required to run in the nude. Also, another distinguishing feature of the Stadion is the starting positions of the participants. Instead of crouching, the participants stand and wait for the cue. The Diaulos simply consisted of two Stadions. The other Stadion was actually the return leg of the race. Until today, however, it remains a mystery as to whether or nut the participants had individual or common turning posts for the return leg. No matter what the answer is, the Diaulos is an extreme version of the Stadion, which required the participants to have sheer endurance and strength. The Greeks thought Diaulos was the more popular race among the two.

The Olympics is one of the most desired sporting events that occur every four years. Thanks to the Greeks, the Olympics have been around for a very long time already way back in the 6th century. But did you know how the Olympics were in the 776 BC? They are what we now know as the Ancient Olympic Games.

In the modern Olympics, the games consist of gymnastics, swimming, basketball, football, diving, table tennis and almost all the sports you can imagine. Back then, the ancient games consisted of of interesting sports such as the four-horse chariot race, armed race, pankration, and the Stadion. Even if these games were ancient, I have always been curious about them and how they are played. I have always been fascinated especially with the Stadion.

One of the most popular games that time was the Stadion. The Stadion is a foot race that is part of the Ancient Olympic Games. In the Ancient Olympics, the Stadion belonged to one of the five major Pentathlon events. As the Greeks have often derived their names from their surroundings, the Stadion originated as the name of the building that hosted the games. The Stadion involved around 20 participants who were fit and strong in running races. The race involves a 200 yard sprint. It is interesting to note that the runners back then started from a standing position instead of a crouching position. Probably the most intriguing thing about the Stadion is that the runners actually run without any piece of clothing, literally. Imagine that the races that we have in the modern times originated from the Stadion. The only real difference is that the races have evolved.

If you love sports, and love watching the Olympics, you will be fascinated in learning more about the origins of modern sport, which is the Ancient Games. Without Stadion, the beauties of the running sport could have not risen.

The name itself may imply that this card game is less serious than conventional poker games. I would not say it is less serious though. I would like to say that Poker Bull is more fun. As the name implies, it blends the fun side of Bull, and the strategic features of Poker. In order to understand how this game works, you will need to be familiar with how Bull is played.

I want to regard Bull as my favorite past time card game. You may wonder why, but its simplicity and “lying” characteristic puts so much fun in it that it relieves your stress. To briefly describe how Bull is played, I want to emphasize two main goals in the game. The first goal is to be the first person to dispose all of his cards. In order to achieve this, the second goal comes into the picture, which is to be able to get rid of your cards strategically by employing a great timing in lying and telling the truth.

Poker Bull is an interesting blend of Bull and Poker which has a goal this time of making other players dispose all their cards. The person left with remaining cards wins the game. Normally, a player receives five cards each to begin with. Throughout the game, bidding of hands occurs and ends when a player announces a call or bull. At this point, each player is required to reveal their cards and attempt to produce a hand that was called from all the cards that are revealed.

As a result, players are being called and lose cards in the process. The game continues until someone is left, possessing cards. Poker Bull is just another exciting addition to the already long list of Poker variations, but with a twist.

Have you ever heard of the card game called Rummy? If not, then you do not know what you are missing. Rummy also has many variations that are available. If you ask me, I think Michigan Rummy has got to be my favorite variation.

Michigan Rummy is actually simple to learn and understand. In order to make the game a more fun experience, I recommend that you play it with more players. Michigan Rummy can be played between three to eight players. If you really want to learn to play Michigan Rummy, you have to be eager and enthusiastic as well. If you like playing Rummy and enjoy Poker as well, you will definitely love Michigan Rummy.

As you know, Michigan Rummy is just another variation of rummy which also contains certain features of Poker, such as the chips. At the start of the game, each player places a chip in each of the nine containers. A bonus card is also involved which corresponds to each of the seven containers. Whoever possesses the bonus card wins the corresponding chips. The objective of the game is to be able to dispose all cards and to accumulate bonus chips at the same time. The bonus chips that were not collected simply carries over to the next round.

If you are interested in playing Michigan Rummy, I suggest that you go ahead and purchase the package that includes a deck of 52 playing cards, 7 containers, the Rummy Board, and a set of poker chips. Having played this game for quite a long time now, I can say that the Michigan Rummy is one of the most entertaining games. This game is best played with eight players since you never know who is going to win the chips. Don’t forget to have a great time.

As I watched my auntie’s play more often, my curiosity grew. It was frustrating knowing that they would not teach me since I was a kid. To add to the frustration, there was scarce information that was readily available, and the Internet was not yet popular that time.

As I grew, I was determined to learn how to play Mah Jong. All I can say is that it is one of the best and most interesting games I have ever played. Mah Jong also has lots of variations which make it more interesting and attractive. However, Mah Jong is an underrated game as compared to other card games such as Poker and Blackjack. There was a time in history, particularly in 1923, when the popularity of Mah Jong boomed. Unfortunately, the demands for Mah Jong has decreased slowly in the late 1920’s. If only other people knew and understood the wonderful game of Mah Jong, the game would be one of the greatest gifts the world has ever received.

The objective of Mah Jong is actually simple. Each player aims to match the tiles with a hand on a certain card. Each player receives thirteen tiles. Each player occupies his respective position, which may be any of the following: east, west, north, or south. Each player takes turns in drawing from the 144 tiles that is used in the game. In order to produce a winning hand, you need to be able to come up with 4 melds of three tiles and a pair of tiles for eyes. In other words, there are fourteen tiles in the winning hand.

Now that you have an idea of Mah Jong, why not give it a shot and see for yourself? Who knows, maybe you and your friends will spark another Mah Jong craze that will last for a long time.

You may be wondering what card game James Bond plays in his brilliant films such as Golden Eye and Thunderball. He actually plays Baccarat, a famous casino game played around the world. Ironic as it sounds, but did you know that James Bond is actually the name of a children’s card game as well? If you heard of Atlantis or Chanhassen, then we are talking about the same thing.

James Bond is also not just an ordinary children’s card game. It is a game that involves strategy, just like other card games. The great thing about this game is that it is not so complicated as compared to Poker and Baccarat. The rules and objectives of this game are really simple. What could be harder than coming up with four cards with the same rank.

If you are wondering how many players can be accommodated, it is between two to three. In case two players are only involved, each player only receives three cards instead of four. If you can find three players, it would be better and more exciting. While each player receives four cards each, there is also a set of four cards that are face up. The players can trade their cards one at a time in exchange for the cards that are revealed. The main goal of each player is to be able to create a hand of identically ranked cards. The first player to come up with the identically ranked cards shouts “James Bond” and wins the game.

Isn’t that easy? James Bond also has other variations. One game even requires a player to shout “book” each time they come up with four identical cards. If you are looking for card games that are more relaxed and fun, I recommend the James Bond card game. Though it is a children’s game, it would not hurt an adult to give it a try.

Strategic card games are great to play especially if you love thinking and strategizing. If you want to improve your mental skills such as math and analysis, strategic card games prove to be very effective. Some of the most popular card games that involve strategy are Poker, Blackjack, Baccarat, and Rummy. Now, have you ever wondered if there were card games that do not require too much thinking and strategizing at all?

The good news is that there are such card games. They literally do not require any thinking and strategizing. If you are already familiar with the Fifty-Two Card Pickup, you already know what I am talking about. For those of you who do not, the Fifty-Two Card Pickup game is not really a card game that may involve money. It is a game that relieves your stress, if you ask me.

Let’s cut the chase and see how it works. All you need is two players. Before you go on playing this game, you need to invite the other person or player, to play a game of Fifty-Two Card Pickup. If the person you invited accepts, throw the cards on the floor in a mess and say “52- pickup”! Obviously, the person needs to pick up those cards, given that he has fallen for the game of Fifty-Two Pickup. If you wish, you can even put a time limit in order to make it more exciting.

Actually, that is all you need to know about the Fifty-Two Card Pickup game. This game is not for everyone, especially for those who embrace stress in strategic card games. Nevertheless, this game can remove lots of stress when played right. Don’t forget, this game can only be played once on the person you invited, so make sure to invite different persons.

A friend once asked me if I was into the Poker craze. I had to confess, I was an enthusiast. I had become fond of many variations of poker. Every game increased my addiction for Poker. It was not long until I gave Blackjack a shot. In a matter of time, I fell in love with the game. I loved it because of its simplicity and thrill.

You probably are aware that Blackjack and 21 are one game. Blackjack is one of the most exciting games that can be played in the casino or at home. The great thing about Blackjack is that it is very easy to learn and understand. Unlike Poker, Blackjack does not have many rules and complexities. It is really a simple game where you can make a huge amount of money.

One of the best things why I love Blackjack is because it is simple. All you need to do is to get your cards to reach 21 as close as possible, or better, reach 21 itself. Then, with the help of your instinct, skill, and luck, you hope to beat the dealer. It is that simple. Nevertheless, it is still very essential to come up with a good strategy whenever you play the game.

Blackjack also has many variations that are played in many casinos and gaming establishments. But the most popular variation is still the standard Blackjack or 21. Many people are drawn to this game because the odds are greater and you can double up your winnings within a single round.

Poker will always be a great game that involves solid strategy. Nevertheless, it would not hurt to try other things. Blackjack brings a more relaxed yet strategic feel to casino games. Just remember, keep on playing in order to develop your own strategy which will help you succeed in the long run.

I was never a fan of numbers. When I was younger, I have always disliked math or the other way around. I was never good with numbers but eventually I took a business degree in college. Ironic, right? Christian Bale said that in order to conquer fear, one must become fear itself. When I took up Statistics, I ended not understanding a thing but managed to pass. How? Up to this day, I have no idea. Little did I know that probabilities would play a big role in playing poker. Sure it is just a game, but geeks made mathematical equations as to the probability of having pocket pairs.

Every gambler must know the basic probabilities on getting some of the most coveted combinations. The probability of being dealt a pocket pair is 5.9%. A pocket pair must create a three of a kind to beat a pocket pair of higher value. You have a 11.8% probability of getting this combination at a flop. People who have studied this have elaborate equations explaining the different probabilities like facing a larger pair. They computed the percentages if you play against one up to nine other players. The end goal with pocket pairs is to create a three of a kind with the highest value to be sure in winning. Also, the Ace plays a big role in the games. Getting an AA has a 0.45% probability of happening.

There are poker odds calculator available online that would help you compute for the probabilities. Your goal is obviously to win and these probabilities may help you get there. More than thinking of all the numbers and equations, it is better to enjoy the game and make the most out of it. If you win, then good. If you lose, then better luck next time. Keep your fingers crossed and focus on the game. Poker is a game of skill and chance.

In making a wager, there are only to possible results. Either you win or you lose. It is important to know when to go all out and when to reserve some. Gambling is a lot like business. You invest a lot if you know that the business is feasible and hope that you get the return of your investment the soonest possible time. In the event that the business fails, you end up losing your investment. It is wise to not invest all of your money. Leave some for yourself just in case it goes bad.

Pot-committed is often used to describe a situation wherein a person is facing a big risk of consequence that he might just go on with it. There is no turning back since you are almost there. In poker, this is the case when a player puts a lot of his chips in the pot because of the good odds. Another scenario could be that a player is forced to make a call since he already has a lot in the pot. It is important to know how to manipulate the pot size and work that to your advantage by trapping your opponent. People find it hard to fold if the pot is already large and his opponent goes all-in. It is never wise to add more money in the pot if you know that you on the losing end.

In playing poker, it is best to look out for signals before making a bet. Assess how the game is going and if you indeed have a chance of having the best hand. Being pot-committed is never a good thing because you stand to lose a lot or win big time. Play defensively and think of all the possibilities. Learn to stop when you know you are about to lose to minimize your loses. Be aggressive if you feel that you have the best hand.

When I join a game or a competition, winning has always been my goal. I think everybody has that goal. It feels good if you see the fruits of your labor. Getting the first place is always the goal. Nobody remembers second place, right? Thus it is important to now your chances beforehand. Is my opponent strong? Do I have what it takes to be on top?In a gambling, you want to have an advantage over the other players. You calculate your odds of winning and losing. Hopefully, your computations are more inclined to you you winning.

Implied odds calculate how much you are going to get after a draw. It is the ratio between the cost to continue playing and the amount of money you expect to win. Reverse implied odd is the opposite. It estimates how much you are going to lose after you make a draw. This works when the player expects to lose a lot if he has a weak hand and win only a minimum if he has the best hand. Bets and raises are closely related to reverse implied odds. This also applies when a player thinks he has the best hand but this could no longer be improved and another player continues to bet. There is always a possibility that another player will have a better hand and there is a risk of losing more money if he draws.

In essence, the concept of the reverse implied odds is to learn when to draw and when to fold. It is a difficult situation be in since its either you win little or you lose big. Of course you would want to at least break-even or make a little profit. If you feel that you have bad pot odds, better fold early on rather than fighting it out and losing big.

While watching 21, I was amazed as to how the students managed to master the art of card counting. They were from MIT so they really were intelligent. If a lot of people have that training, then casinos would surely lose millions and eventually file for bankruptcy. It can be seen as both a gift and a curse. Man has always used mathematical equations to explain things. In gambling, pot odds and equity are determined to give a clear view of what to expect when playing.

A player’s equity can be determined by keeping close attention to the number of outs he makes to make a hand. If you have a hard time determining then the rule is when you are on the flop, multiply the number of outs by four. When on the turn, multiply the number of outs by two. The pot equity is determined by first knowing the hand winning percentage over a series of rounds. As long as you have a greater equity than what is being played, it is wise to call or raise. In the long run, you will expect to have a positive value.

Players often face the dilemma whether to call, raise or fold a bet. The calculation must be for a longer term rather than just on that particular game. The size of the bet in relation to the entire pot is a what should be noticed. One must look at the long term profitability of the action. The entire process requires simple math but deep analysis. In essence, computing the odds and equity is just a way for you to make a decision since it focuses more on the long term results rather than the present. The data is spread over a number of games which makes it an average of all the wins or loses.

Start well and you will finish well. That has always been the case for a lot of people. It may be true for some but not for others. It is important to start well and maintain that until the end. In a game of poker, the starting hands is very important since they somehow dictate the way you play the game. It is great if at the start of the game, you already know which direction you should take. Of course, always anticipate that anything could happen. The others could have better hands than you or whatever.

In Seven-card stud poker and in any other poker variation, a good starting hand means a bigger chance in winning. If you stay until the showdown and wins the round, the other players will know that you are a good player. If this keeps up, you will have the power of bluffing in the next games. Ideally, the starting hands must be flexible to allow different cards to form a good hand. When playing stud, one must pay high. If you have the three highest cards as compared to others shown on the table, there is a chance that you have the highest pair or two pair. Three-card flushes are a good thing if there no other cards with the same suit as your on the table.

Three-card straights that have suited connectors can be turned into a straight draw. It is important to play with suited cards since they are more ‘live’ than others. Live cards are cards that are in play and not out. There are so many strategies available to help you win. You will have to closely study them and apply them when you play. Choose the right one or learn to quickly change strategies if the odds change. Always act when the odds are in your favor. Take calculated risks.

All the different poker variations are exciting to play. Each one provides a different twist to the usual poker that makes it unique and appealing. They may have slight differences in terms of rules and mechanics but they all have one ultimate goal, to pool money and award it to the best player. To become a good poker player, a lot of practice and hard work is required. Learn how to assess every situation and apply the right strategy. Not all strategies may work in certain situations so you have to make the right judgment.

In a game of Limit Seven-card stud poker, it is important to be patient and disciplined in making hands. Always anticipate that anything can happen in the game. At the start of the game, always select the the best since the starting hand greatly influences your play. Know your opponents and choose the table with the most number of perceived weak players. Study the behavior of the opponents. Determine who is easily swayed by aggression and bluffing. If the odds are on your side, always bet or raise. Always consider the upcards of the other players. If you are lucky to have a strong draw, think of raising the bet instead of calling. This move could drive other players to instantly fold not knowing that they have a better hand than yours.

Players commit a number of mistakes that cause them to lose. Some play it until the end even if they know that they only have modest cards. Learn to fold early on if you know that you are on the losing end. Pay close attention to your own game but never fail to check that of your opponents’. Never settle for second best. Always go for the best cards. The most important of all is to have the right skill in playing.

If you are caught bluffing, you get all the cards on the center, if not, the person who bluffed you will get them instead. We all have a good time playing the simple game. Little did I know that the art of bluffing will be useful in the years to come. In a game of poker, bluffing may lead one to win the pot even if he didn’t necessarily have the highest or lowest hand.

In stud poker, bluffing may help one win the game. The most important thing to remember is to never make a bluff without reason. The dark-tunnel bluff are usually hasty decisions made without much thought. The key to make a good bluff is to examine your opponents. Be particular of gestures, the way the betting goes and other aspects of the game. Before making a strong bluff, it is important to thinks of the odds that the other players may actually have a stronger hand. You have to realize that the probability of getting a great set of cards are rather slim. The key to making a good bluff in Stud poker is to really toy with the other players and their cards. Aggression will prove to be beneficial in the long run. Also, players fear Aces. They immediately assume that the player has a pair of them.

Bluffing, when used during the right time and in the right way, could lead you to win the game. It can only help you, the more important thing is to really know the game. Have the right skill and focus on prize.

Life is all about taking risks. Every single day we are faced with making choices. Choices that could either do good or otherwise. You can go for a plaid dress instead of the plain black and end up looking like the table cloth on your favorite restaurant. You can take the unorthodox strategy taken by a businessman and end up making big bucks. You see, life is all about making choices. In choosing a game, should you got for Omaha or Hold’em? If Omaha, should you go Hi-Lo or just Omaha High?

Omaha Hi and Omaha Hi-Lo are essentially the same except for the latter dividing the pot into the winner for the high and for the low hands. In Omaha Hi, the goal is to get the best from your nut draws. The ideal combinations are the double suited AA-KK and AA-J-T. Suited aces, high pair and other connected cards play a big role in winning. On the other hand, in Omaha Hi-Lo, your goal is to have both a low and high hand hoping to scoop the entire pot. Suited aces aces and low cards will help in winning. The ideal staring combination is a double suited AA-2-3.

Bluffing in Omaha Hi-Lo is not advised as this may let you lose. If your hand is weak, never make a naked bluff since your opponent only has two choices, either to believe you or not. If you are sure of half the pot, don’t push it to scoop all of it. In Omaha Hi, bluffing is reserved for the pros. You need to be aware of your opponent’s gestures and make sure that you can get away with that bluff. Both Omaha Hi and Omaha Hi-Lo are nut games. It is best to have a strong starting hand so you will have a bit of an edge over your opponents.

People often argue which game is more exciting than the other. When I was younger, I remember playing a number of games with other kids. As I grew older, my concept of fun and games became mature as well. This led me to discover the fun in playing with cards. As a kid I used to pretend like the X-Men member Gambit who uses cards with his super power. Of all the cards, the aces were the ones that really stuck to me. I don’t know why but I know there is something about aces that fascinated me. Little did I know that later on in life, the aces would influence mu game of cards.

Many players prefer playing Omaha because of the excitement it brings. It gets more interesting if you know the right strategies when playing. Obviously there are hands that are considered overrated and overused like the pocket aces. Those who are used to playing Texas Hold’em are the usual culprits. The combination A-A-2-3 with double suits is the ideal starting hand. This combination gives the player different ways of forming a hand. He can opt for nut-flushes, nut-low variations and straights. The strength of an A-A hand is on the other two cards. There are so many possible combinations that the A-A hand can make and it is up to the player how to make use of them. However, experts advise against relying too much on the A-A-X-X combination. It is better to use them in multi-way pots wherein the other two cards add value as well. In these pots, always remember that the other aces could be with your opponents.

The Aces play a big role in the game. It wise to make the most out of them. Assess whether your hand is better than that or your opponent’s. Remember to fold early on if you feel that you are about to lose. Bluffing does not usually work in Omaha.

Many card games have been around since the Renaissance period, and some of them remain to be very popular games to this day. Piquet is one of those games. It has been documented since the sixteenth century, but could have been around earlier than that because its mention in literature indicates it was already popular by 1535. It is assumed that the game came from Spanish origins because of its name, and that it made its way to Germany through France, but even with this spread its popularity was the greatest in France. It remained popular in France, and later on in England, until the birth of contract bridge, which took its place. However, to this day pique is still played and is one of the most popular card games with a long history behind it.

Piquet is not played with your usual fifty-two card deck. Intsead, a thirty-two card deck is used, and in some areas of the world this is available commercially; however, for the benefit of those in areas where only the standard fifty-two card set is available, the deck used in piquet consists of the following cards: all of the aces, all of the face cards, and the cards from the ranks 7 through 10, all suits present of course. Because the deck being used is so small, only two players can play this game. Each player is dealt twelve cards each, and the remaining eight cards are stacked and used as the talon. If one of the players has no face cards in his hand, then he has to declare a carte blanche, which simply indicates he has no face cards in his hand. This gives that player an initial ten points to start with.

The game begins with the Elder hand – that is, the person other than the dealer. As you may have guessed, the dealer is known as the Younger hand. The Elder and Younger hands exchange cards as they see fit, and then after this process they go through a process of declaration, or trying to determine who has the better hand. Deception plays a key role in this portion of the game and so it is important to know how to bluff in order to give your opponent a different impression of what cards you actually have; otherwise, by the end of the declaration the other player will know what cards are in your hand more or less. The play takes place, and each card put down is scored, as is done in bridge. The one with the higher points at the end of the game wins. There are various opportunities to gain bonuses throughout the play, such as if a person is the first to reach a particular number of points, and these are not just small points – about thirty to sixty bonus points are given to a player who achieves a particular milestone in the game. The only time that these bonus points are not given is if there is a tie between the two players.

If you want to enjoy playing the game even more, give it a Renaissance twist: organize a Piquet party with a Renaissance theme, and play as if it were 1535 again. You’ll find the game fascinating, and you get a feel of the sixteenth century as well.

There are many card games out there other than the typical casino card games and other than poker that are done with a wager. Since card games have been popular since the Middle ages, it is only expected that many variations of card games are out and about in the modern world. One interesting card game is the lansquenet. The name of the game is derived from the German term landsknecht, which pertains to a mercenary soldier in general, or a servant of the country.

The game works this way: the players play against the dealer. The dealer makes a wager, and the players must meet it in order for the round to begin, and then two cards are dealt: one for the table, and one for the dealer. The goal is to match your card with the one being turned up by the dealer from the deck. The card that matches first with the cards that the dealer turns up wins the game. As the game progresses, the role of banker is passed around the different players of the game and the same events take place once again. The winnings grow bigger exponentially as the game progresses and the winnings accumulate. The stakes grow, meanwhile, when the dealer’s card turns up and he decides to leave it on the table, because everytime he does this, the value of the next card turning up doubles and so the winnings double as well. It’s a good, fun way to win some money.

Yet it was notorious in the past as being one of those games that you can easily cheat. Some players who take the dealer post place cards in their pockets and add it to the deck, prearranged so that their wins could be ensured. Other dealers take the hand that was already played, and try to play it with new players. If you intend to try this you may not want to follow the coat-and-tie dress code of the past generations, as the pocket covers of the coats make it easier for this kind of cheating to be done.

If you’ve got the money and you’re up for a game that shows off just that, but you are not a casino person and would like to display your lavishness in a social scene instead, then you might be interested in playing basset with your other rich friends. The basset card game has a reputation for being a rich man’s game because the stakes are high in this game, and one can easily lose a large amount of money if that person loses.

Basset is said to resemble lottery, in that each player is dealt thirteen cards facedown, and they bet money on these cards, trying to bet on which cards are going to turn up. The players reveal each card as they see fit, and if they win, they win big prizes because the prizes are set so that a particular number of cards showing up will be equivalent to a particular multiplier. People can win sixty-seven times his original bid in the game at most, and can consequently lose just as much with the turn of a card. This is why it is known as a game for the noblemen, and it takes a certain amount of money to be able to pay off the other players in case a player loses to them.

Aside from being a game for the well-off people, the game is also notorious for the cheating that happens. The full control of the cards is bestowed on the banker alone – he serves as the dealer. He has the full control over the distribution of the cards, and since there is no particular rule in basset about shuffling the cards before dealing them, the dealer may be able to alter the results and make it so that a person does not win at a given time. This is the reason only noblemen got to play the game – not only was it financially demanding, it was also morally challenging, and the kings of the olden days felt that the noblemen were the only ones befitting of the role.

This game has been around since the mid-fifteenth century. It first was played in Italy, and then it spread through France and finally, in England, both in the 17th century. Today it is one of the card games being discussed by mathematicians who are trying to defeat the game by finding the logic behind it.

When I first heard of the term bridge I did not know what it was, but it was offered at my university as one of the PE classes. The most I found out about it when I asked around the campus is that it is a card game, although I did not have an idea as to how it is played exactly. When I did find out, I found it a tad bit complicated.

Four players play the game, with two forming partnerships. These four players are dealt thirteen cards each (therefore using up all cards of the fifty-two card deck), and the goal is to be able to achieve the most number of points from the hand you currently hand. What happens is that one hand is showed on the table, face-up, and this is somethng that you and your partner decide on, and the other hand is hidden from your opponents. The players make bids in the form of the cards, and to be able to win, they have to have at least a specific number of cards of the same suit that give them the highest points. The bid that a person makes determines what happens in the play: for example, if the last bid was 5d, then there will be eleven tricks (or eleven rounds, or eleven cards to be played, as tricks are the cards in the game) played, the six initial ones assumed, and the five additional ones from the bid, and it should be in the suit of diamonds. When a player runs out of cards from the suit, that is the only time he may play another card. These cards are scored, and the cards follow the ranking used in poker, with the ace as the highest card and the twos as the lowest cards. The one with the highest score wins. There’s more to the gameplay than just these things I have mentioned – there are a lot of complicated technicalities and instructions that have to be explained at a deeper level – but for those beginners looking for the very basic definition of the game then this should work and give you an idea of how difficult it is to understand for the first-timers.

The game’s origins date back to the eighteenth century. Its predecessor is a popular card trumping game called the Whist, which was a very popular English card game at the time and remained popular in the following century. It was not until near the turn of the twentieth century that documentations of the first developments towards contract bridge first appeared, but the game of bridge we know of today was fully developed in the year 1925. What makes contract bridge different from the bridge variations is that a contract is made: the players declare how many tricks they are going to take, and what the conditions are for this particular move.

There are many games to choose from when you find yourself in a particular party situation. In parties where drinking is involved, there are two major groups of popular games played: first, the rather risque games, those of the drinking or the teasing kind; and the games of deceit, those which test just exactly how drunk and gullible you are.

The game of liar’s poker is a member of the latter group. It is not a card game, and therefore does not really belong in the poker game family; however, it does incorporate in its game one major detail that is used and needed in a poker game: bluffing. The whole idea of the game is to be able to bluff and lie effectively in order to win. It is a pretty easy game, actually, and can be beat if you are aware of different computations on probability, but at the same time, because it involves a little bit of lying and bluffing here and there, it is a good way of enjoying the fact that some of the guys in your party may just be a little bit more gullible because of their alcohol intake.

The mechanics of the game is easy: each player gets a dollar bill and takes a look at their own serial number, not showing the others their numbers. Then each player makes a wager as to how many times a particular number actually appears – for example, you have three players playing liar’s poker, and one tries to guess that there are four zeroes among the three of them. This guessing goes on until two of the players challenge the guess of one player – say, if one player says there are five twos and the other two players challenge, then they show their bills and check the serial numbers. If there are less than five twos, then the one who bet that there are five twos pays the other two players a dollar; however, if there are more than five twos that show up, the two players pay him a dollar. The more players there are, the heavier it is on the wallet, but at the same time it is really a fun game for those nights when you want to try a different game at your party.

How would you like to combine the easiness of the mechancis of the slot machine and the excitement of poker?

You don’t have to imagine this; all you have to do is go to your favorite casino and you will find that somebody already did that for you. Video poker is one easy way of playing poker in an easy way, because the moves are programmed so that you only have to choose between buttons to execute a particular command which corresponds to a particular move. The best part is that there are additional bonus games to make your winnings bigger.

The video poker machine is a combination of slots and poker, in that the traditional five-card draw game is played on a slot machine with a screen on it. The game itself is programmed so that the cards are dealt randomly, which is quite similar to the random generator program used in the regular slot machines. These machines usually contain a table indicating how much a player is going to get for a particular hand that he manages to hit in a game. The rules of the five-card draw apply, which makes it easy for the classic poker players to make the transition to video poker in a jiffy.

The good part about is if you manage to get a hand that is high enough (this would, of course, depend on what the machine says is the requirement), then you will be able to play a jackpot game where you draw an extra card in order to be able to do as much as double your winnings. Other variations of video poker enable the player to win extra money just for being able to achieve a specific hand that the game calls for. This is a good game for those who want to play poker but do not want to wager as much money as those who play at the tables, who have to meet a minimum amount to be able to join in a game. It also is good for slot machine players looking for variety.

For those people who love playing at the casino, the online casinos give them a lot of variation in online games that they can play in order to win money. One of those games offered are slot machine games, which have been further developed in the online scene in order to be able to offer more to the players. One such game that has evolved is the five-reel online slot game.

In casinos, the five-reel slot machines offer the players more opportunities to win the minor prizes because more choices for combinations are given. This makes winning the major prizes a bit more difficult though, because thousands of new possible combinations are added to the roster of already many combinations that the three-reel slot machines offer. Because of this, the slot machines in casinos offer a bonus jackpot game where the players have a chance to win a little over the money they have invested in the machine. The same concept applies to the five-reel online slot games as well. Many new combinations are added to the roster of winning combinations for any given game, especially because in the online games new patterns are included to be accepted. In the machines, the unusual pattern there is the diagonal pattern accepted, but in the online games different shapes to be formed are accepted as well. This gives the players more chances of winning more prizes. Also, many bonus games are included in the five-reel online slots, as well as different items that help the player, such as cheats like in the three-reel online slots, wild symbols that may be used to match with the other symbols to win a prize, and various multipliers distributed throughout the game so that the money that a player wins can be doubled. Because it is much easier to develop an online game than the program that runs the machines in casinos, more and more features are added to these five-reel online slot games as the days go by, and it is therefore one of the most popular games played online by casual gamers and hardcore casino lovers alike.

The good thing about the different games offered in casinos these days is that it is also made available on the online casinos for those players at home to be able to enjoy. It is only fitting that even slot machines make it to these sites, because after all, they garner the highest profit among all the games in the casinos worldwide, and because for quite sometime now these slot machine games have been semi-computerized so as to make the gameplay easier. The very basic form of the slot machine, the three-reel slot, finds itself in a throng of online slot machines on the internet, and yet it remains to be a popular game in spite of its simplicity.

The 3 reel online slot games follow the basic 3-reel slot machines found in casinos, minus the actual coins to be dropped in the slots of course. A person instead takes from his account in the casino, and as long as the account has enough money for a game then the person can spin. The player chooses an amount which he wants to wager for a particular round, and takes a spin, and if he gets a combination indicated as one of the many winning combinations, then the player wins. As expected, though, the online version has additional perks in order to make it more interesting. For instance, additional jackpot rounds make it possible for a player to make more money than he normally would in a regular slot machine. There’s also the provision for cheats, same as in the fruit machines of the United Kingdom: a player may choose to hold a reel, or to nudge reels as he sees fit, in order to be able to win as much as the game will permit him to. With these perks added, more people will be urged to play the online version of this classic slot machine game.

Slot machines make around seventy percent of every casino’s profit in a night. This is because a lot of people are fascinated with the concept of instantaneous anything – everything has to be easily acquired these days, even money, and the concept of winning something instantly without having to think too hard is therefore very appealing to many people. The modern video slot machines we are familiar with use a chip containing a program for a random number generator, which makes sure that the results are totally random and not pre-programmed (which is cheating).

The UK likes their slot machines a little bit different. Their slot machines, the UK pub slots – more commonly known as fruit machines – give them higher odds of winning. This is because their machines do not use the random number generator system that the other slot machines use. Their machines work more or les just like the other machines, true, and the results on the drum are selected randomly as well, but what makes this machine different from all the rest of the slot machines out there is that unlike the other slot machines, the fruit machines enable a player to hold a drum from a previous spin. This means that when a player takes a spin on the fruit machine, if he gets results that he likes but he hasn’t quite won the jackpot yet, he has another chance by keeping the drum(s) he likes on hold and then spinning the rest. That way each player gets a higher chance of winning, because the probability that worse combinations could come out of the following spin is eliminated by the player’s choice. This is technically a cheat, but it is an allowed cheat on the game.

Another cheat available for the players is the nudge. What this does is to allow the player to be able to move one of the reels one step up or down to the discretion of the player. This can be very advantageous, especially in a case where a person has two identical icons on two of the reels and the third identical icon is one step above or below the current photo being shown.

If you’re up for winning instant money but you want to have higher chances of winning, then this game is definitely for you.

One of the rather seasoned games offered in casinos worldwide is the roulette. The roulette is a game that has actually been around since the 18th century, has spread around the whole Europe and America in the 19th century, and continues to be a prominent figure in the casinos and among gamblers worldwide. The name roulette stands for “little wheel” which refers to the wheel that is used in the game. It makes use of a wheel with thirty-eight sections, alternately colored red and black. These sections are numbered differently depending on which style of wheel and table the casino is using, and there are spokes separating the inner portion of the wheel where the ball falls during the game. This wheel could be placed either at the end of a betting table, or at the center of the betting table, which, again, depends on which style the casino is using.

There are two styles of roulette: the American and European styles. The European style uses the French layout, wherein there is only one zero and there are thirty-seven numbers used for the roulette. These numbers are written on the board as well, in columns of threes, with the zero at the extreme left of the board. The wheel in this case is located in the middle of the board. Meanwhile, the American style roulette uses thirty-eight numbers, adding a double zero to the wheel and to the board as well. The wheel is located at the end of the board. In both cases a tiled area above the wheel is provided for the ball to roll on while the wheel is spinning.

The gameplay is simple. For the inside bets, player chooses a number that he predicts will be the landing area of the ball on the roulette, bets on that, and waits for the results. The outside bets are more specific, where a player guesses whether it will fall on a red or a black slot, or whether it will be an odd or an even number. These outside bets tend to pay lower because of the fact that the players are betting on general details and their odds of winning are increased dramatically in contrast with the inside bets.

There is no definite way of beating the game, because as you may notice from the mechanics, it is a game of chance. What a player can do, though, is to bet wisely, in order to be able to enjoy the game. That is the most important strategy to remember when playing this game.
